Belles and Babes rents maternity and baby clothes for more than 2000 years in first 6 years

Here at B&B we've just had our 6th birthday and, when we did some calculations, we were really proud to have hit some impressive statistics on our rentals. B&B has reached the milestone of facilitating over 1,600 maternity item rentals for 6,000 months and over 6,000 baby item rentals for 18,000 months. That's equivalent to over 2,000 years of use within just 6 years.

Current customer Julia writes, "I used this service for maternity clothes during my pregnancy and now for nursing clothes and organic baby clothes. I am so happy to not participate in fast fashion during this life stage when low cost would be more attractive as clothes don’t fit you/baby for very long. It’s amazing to not have to purchase and store pounds and pounds of clothes."

"We're really proud of what we've helped to achieve," says Emma, Founder of B&B. "It's easy to question whether renting is truly more sustainable, but these statistics show the huge impact that renting can have by keeping clothes in circulation that would otherwise by sitting in storage or, worst case scenario, in landfill because of stains or damage."

But our commitment to sustainability goes beyond being a rental company - B&B prioritises sustainable and ethical brands when it comes to sourcing, repairs clothes and repurposes items creatively, for example using baby clothes as stuffing for slow cooker bags, ensuring nothing goes to landfill. Our ultimate goal is to achieve full circularity and have a net-zero impact.

Baby capsule wardrobes start from £25 a month for a personalised bundle of 18 items of sustainable organic clothing which are replaced as your baby grows.
